The safety of rail transport of goods and people at the center of the Government’s concerns

The Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLÈ BIBÉHÈ, chaired this Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in the conference room of his Ministerial Department, an assessment meeting on rail safety, in the presence of his Minister Delegate, the Secretaries General of the ministries in charge of Territorial Administration, Land Affairs, focal points from DGSN and MINDEF, MINDDEVEL, members of COMIFER and CTV, the Director General of CAMRAIL and the spokesperson of the Mbombog of Eseka.
The main item on the agenda was safety on the railway. An upsurge in actions detrimental to the activity of rail transport and to the safety of people living near the rail and train users is increasingly being observed. During this session, the steps taken to find a lasting solution to this phenomenon, which is contributing to the deterioration of our railway heritage, were reviewed. On April 14, 2021, it should be recalled, the MINT chaired a meeting relating to this issue which made it possible to formulate a certain number of resolutions making it possible to regulate this phenomenon of growing incivility by minimizing incidents in the vicinity and on the railway line, in particular awareness-raising
