Living together and bilingualism are effective at the Ministry of Transport

The Mission of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (CNPBM) congratulated the Minister of Transport, this August 26, 2020, on this state of affairs at the end of their two-day stay in the said Ministerial Department.
The objective of the said mission was to assess the measures taken by the Ministry of Transport to promote bilingualism and multiculturalism within it. The mission, led by barrister HALLE Nicodemus NDESI, met with the main officials of the said Ministerial Department to inquire about the actions carried out by them to apply, each in what concerns him, the law n ° 2019/019 of the December 24, 2019 promoting official languages. According to this mission, this Ministerial Department is sensitive insofar as it is in permanent contact with users. For this mission, it was not only a question of evaluating the ministerial structure but also of sensitizing the staff on the values ​​promoted by the President of the Republic through living together. For this mission, bilingualism is not an end in itself. It is about eradicating all forms of hate speech and embracing difference. The Head of Mission also briefed staff on the implications of the said law, which requires the fifty-fifty rule to be applied in the use of both official languages.
During the restitution work, barrister HALLE Nicodemus NDESI congratulated the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna for the arrangements made for bilingualism and multiculturalism to be a reality within the Ministerial Department that the Head of State, His Excellency Mr. Paul BIYA was kind enough to entrust him. For the CNPBM’s mission, the majority of the personnel of the Ministry of Transport is bilingual. Apart from that, it is good to live there. Moreover, its managerial team reflects the ten regions of Cameroon (Adamaoua, Center, East, Far North, Littoral, North, North-West, West, South, South-West). And, the head of Department initiated the days of living together are within him.
The mission was not only content to throw the flowers at the Ministry of Transport but it also addressed to the Minister some recommendations, in particular the reinforcement of the continuous training of its staff so that everyone can express themselves in the two official languages ​​of the Cameroon. Without waiting, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLE BIBEHE reassured the mission that all their recommendations will be implemented in the coming days.
One day before this restitution, barrister HALLE Nicodemus NDESI and his team visited all the services of the said Ministerial Department. Likewise, they had a working session, under the direction of the General Inspectorate, with all the technical directors and heads of unit during which they urged the staff to share the values ​​promoted by living together, in particular love, tolerance, peace.
At the end, the mission shared with each manager the law n ° 2019/019 of December 24, 2019 so that everyone can soak up it.
