*MINTRANSPORT presides ceremony to restitute mortal remains succumbed in the Caverton air crash on May 11, 2022

The Minister of Transports, Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLE BIBEHE today November 23, 2022 at the Yaounde Central Hospital, on behalf of the Head of State, President Paul Biya and wife, passed a moment of consolation with the families of victims of the tragic Caverton air crash of May 11, 2022.

This was within the context of the ceremony to restitute mortal remains of the victims to their families.

Accompanied by some Members of Government, Nigerian High Commissioner to Cameroon, Managing Director of COTCO amongst other high-ranking dignatories, the Minister of Transports paid hommage to all eleven (11) victims: Jean Charles Kasseng, Asu Rudolph E., Ernest Tchatua, Pewite Nkwenti Serge, Ewuga Azuayi Zaza, Micheal Ombkore, Ndanjo Celestine, Endalle Estelle, Tchehou Tchakounte Serge, Armand Kouayep and Baban André.

In his address to mourners, Minister Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLE BIBEHE acknowledged the impatience with which families of victims and the general public await the established cause of this tragic incident.

The Minister assured that a technical investigation has already been opened to ascertain the cause of the accident, and with assistance from Nigeria and Canada, the first information relating thereto will be delivered shortly.
